Frequently Asked Questions
-
The tan lasts 7-14 days depending on your skin care regimen. It will look its best in the first five days. The facial tan will begin to fade usually in the first 3-4 days. The longevity of the tan may be altered due to pregnancy, menstrual cycle, skin conditions and skin care routines.
-
Book 2 days prior to any event or vacation to allow your tan to set.
-
Some solutions require 3 - 6 hours to process before rinsing. a custom tan usually require 7 hours for processing prior to rinsing.
-
Ideally, nails and lashes should be done the day before tanning. Waxing should be done 2-3 days before.
-
Allow the tan to set 24 hrs prior to returning to your standard workouts.
-
Your spray tan has an agent that helps prevent rub off of the bronzer. It can stain clothes if aggressively rubbed off.
-
Please come in for a patch test first.
-
We recommend wearing loose fitting clothes and slip on shoes for your appointment.
-
We recommend Bondi Sands, Tan- lux, Shea moisture. St. Tropex, CeraVe, Sun Bum, Cetaphil. Please do not use any Dove soap products as these as these alter the color of your tan.
-
We do not recommend these activities as they cause the tan to fade faster. Moisturizing before using pools, jacuzzis, or swimming in the ocean may help. However, chlorine in pool water, and sand in the ocean speed fading of the tan. So too will heat from saunas decrease the life of your tan.
How To Prep For Your Spray Tan
Keep your skin moisturized and stay well-hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment. Exfoliate from head to toe. Make sure you have no old spray tan on your body 24 hours prior to your appointment.
Have all your hair removed in the places needed (waxed or shaved). Avoid sunburns or excessive sun exposure. Arrive for your appointment with just your bare skin (no products, makeup, deodorant or lotions).
Post Tan Care
Development Phase (4-10 hours)
Avoid getting wet, sweating, crossing legs/arms. When it’s time to rinse off make sure it is for around 2 minutes with lukewarm water. Rinse until the water is clear. Pat the skin dry when exiting the shower. Use the recommended specialized moisturizer after showering to help maintain the tan.
Aftercare
Use a spray tan moisturizer 2 times a day. It is recommended to use gentle soap free of mineral oil. Avoid Dove soap and Bath & Body Works. To extend your tan please use a self tanning lotion, tanning water or tanning mousse. Please skip sauna or any activity that creates a lot of sweat.

Leaving the appointment you will LOVE your brows. You won’t be able to stop looking in the mirror at how marvelous the hair strokes look and how “framed” your eyes are! You will wonder, have my eyes always been this pretty? Please be careful while driving.
-
You will wake up and marvel at the fact that you still have eyebrows on your face. Later in the day you will try to remember if you are supposed to wash your face or not, but since you were so excited about getting eyebrows you didn’t pay attention to anything I said and you won’t be able to remember my instructions.
-
Now you aren’t sure, you loved them in the beginning, but they look too dark maybe? Is this the right shape? And they are starting to scab and fall off! They are all patchy looking I want to fill them in with make up, people will be terrified of me if I go out in public. OMG I’m not going have any brows left. I’m totally using make-up even though I was told not to.
-
All my eyebrows fell off and now I look just like when this process started. Did I waste my time and my money? This was dumb.
-
Whoa. I am starting to see the hairs again, that’s so weird. I can’t wait for my touch up to finish the shape and filling in some spots.
-
They are back to beautiful! This was the smartest thing I’ve ever done. I am a genius. Now my brows are waterproof and sweat-proof and kid proof and pet proof and I don’t have to guess where to put them when I want to draw them on.

Aftercare Instructions
For 1 hour post appointment, blot your brows with a clean tissue to remove blood. This will prevent large scabs that are followed by excessive peeling and flaking.
A few hours post appointment, gently wash your brows in the sink with aftercare foam soap. To do this, wash your hands first, then use a tiny amount of the soap and water to gently wash the brows in the direction of the hair. This is done lightly, no scrubbing, to remove debris and oil. Rinse thoroughly and blot dry with a clean paper towel then apply healing balm.
Wash your brows as above twice per day for 10 days. Apply healing balm after each wash and once between each washing.
The healing balm is potent! Only apply about a rice grain amount to cover both brows.
Avoid getting your brows wet. This includes in the shower, swimming, hot tubs, sauna, sweating.
Avoid direct sunlight on your brows for 2 weeks.
Avoid all products contacting the brows for 2 weeks (makeup, lotion, face wash, shampoo, conditioner) while they heal. After this period, avoid any products containing active ingredients such as acne, anti-aging, retinoids or other active products.
Avoid sleeping on your face, and do not pick or peel scabs or the skin to prevent scarring.
